  • Maybe you have tried out Time Trialing at the Tuesday 10s for the first time this year. Or maybe you are an experienced racer. This event is a time trial on the open (but fairly quiet) road on a sleepy Sunday morning. For those that want to build up an appetite for the club reunion or for those who want to try something different than the club run.

Entries are made by completing the CTT Entry form which you can pick up on a Tuesday and give back to Joe or to Mark or Armin.
NB no online entries via the CTT website.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Any questions just ask Armin, Jamie or myself.
    Mark

  • As you can see I have also set this up as an event on the FB page.

Can we start a conversation here or there about the Bill Major, the Reunion and getting there and back....

  • Hello, Anyone who wishes to enter on the line is most welcome.
After the event we will grab a quick cup of tea or coffee and make our way to the Reunion which is about a 4 mile ride.
Look forward to seeing you there.

  • It's approx 35 miles home from Burton End. It's a little bit more than that to get to the Ugley race HQ. So realistically, if anyone is keen / mad / stupid enough to want to ride up, do the time trial, go to the reunion and then ride home, they'll be doing at least 100 miles that day. Obviously that's not impossible and some might be up for it. Those that are up for the race and either ride up OR ride back, the train to/from Bishop's Stortford might be a good way of avoiding the other leg of riding.

  • Thanks Jamie. Anyone willing to give a lift or needing a lift then please feel free to add here. You can even stay at the club hut the night before if you wish.

  • Mark, I'm going to enter this. Is there any benefit to me posting off a CTT entry form (e.g. does it make me eligible for a prize / allowed to take part in a handicap competition) or should I just enter on the day instead?

  • Hi Jamie. Let me check the rules and get back to you. Mark.

  • Same question as Jamie. I'm definitely planning on riding, but don't think I even own a cheque book so EOL would be much easier!

  • Also, I know it's not an open, but can non club members enter?

  • Hi. You can enter on the line. That would be most welcome. Is the non-club member part of an associated cycling time trials club. If so. Yes. If not then they would need to join our club. I think the fees for the rest of the year are about £15. Plus £5 entry fee.

  • Great, yes they are.

  • To be eligible for the handicap awards, including handicap championship, you must pre-enter.
As a club event you will be eligible for the scratch awards if you enter on the day.

  • I'll enter on the line, then. Don't think I have a cheque book any more.

  • What about a postal order?

  • Hi All. Don't worry about payment in advance. Anyone who wants to enter for the handicap prize, please send an entry form by email to Armin or myself. Markfreeman70@ymail.com . I need the entries by Tuesday 5/7/16. You can pay cash on the day or by BACS to the Lea Valley Account. Mark payment with your name and 'Bill Major 25'. Entries on the line are also most welcome. Any questions let me know.

  • I've got in my car for two extra people/bikes for Sunday for anyone interested. I'm based in Wanstead. Neil

  • Hi Neil. Thanks for the offer. I will let Sam and Joe know as they are looking for a lift.
Are you entering on the line. If so that is fine. EOL will be going off from about 10.10.
If you want to be part of the hadicap event then can you send me an entry form
