Normally have a run from the Waltham Forest Town Hall gates leaving at 19:15 and ending up at the club night meeting for 21:00
We generally ride up to Chingford and then do loops of a 4-mile circuit which is mostly street lit (but you will still need lights). Mostly sticking together, but there's one short sharp climb for those inclined to race up it.
No lights, no ride
A degree of road sense and safety is essential.
These are social rides first and foremost and we endeavour not to leave anyone behind. However the quick ones tend to push it up to 17 mph and make it into a bit of a training ride. As the weather improves the less sprightly of us might even venture out :)
You can help us by listening to the lead rider's guidance, opening brief and following instructions.
Please bring with you enough water and food to get you through the day, and spare inner tubes, pump, waterproof top if it's likely to rain and sun cream when it doesn't.
Open to all ages from 14 upwards. Under 16's may require the attendance of a parent/guardian. Under 18's must wear a helmet.
