• Hi Paul - could you let us know what the rules say?

I've never said there's a rule saying there's a limit of two per club. What I said was whenever we've entered just one rider, he's got in, and whenever we've entered two riders, they've both got in, but whenever we've entered three riders only the best two have got in.

My understanding (and I can't remember who told me this, but it was back in 2011 when I was first entering ERRL events) was that every club that has an entrant has to be represented. So if 90 people entered and only 60 could get in, instead of picking the best 60 (and excluding riders from some clubs) they had to pick the best rider from each club that had entered and then the second best rider from each club and so on until all the spaces were filled. This is how I managed to get into races as a 4th cat with no points while 3rd cats ended up on the reserve list (because lots of people from their club had entered). This doesn't mean there's a limit of two per club - in theory you could still end up with ten riders from one club in the race, it all depends how many people entered and how many different clubs they came from. But maybe this isn't the rule?
