This is an individual time trial, but with a team competition. It is open to riders who belong to clubs in the '32nd Association' (i.e. clubs which are historically from East London and who have one of the 'huts' as their country retreat, near Ugley in Essex, 32 miles up the road from London to Cambridge) - in addition to Lea Valley this includes Eagle, Shaftesbury, Victoria and a few others. Each rider gets their individual time, of course, but in addition to this the five fastest times from each club are aggregated and the club with the quickest time wins the team prize. Last year, for the first time in decades, we won the team prize. The route is a bit complicated (will post a description below), but there will be marshalls so you shouldn't go wrong.
The entry fee is £5 and you'll need to fill in a CTT entry form. You can download one here: http://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/Forms (click on the first file on that page, you will only need to fill in the first page - the second page is for hill climbs or team time trials (where you race together)). Bring the entry form along to a club night on a Tuesday to hand it in or to get help filling it in.
First rider is off at 3pm, last rider should be finished well before 5pm.
